Best Yoga Asanas for Eyesight

More than half of the population in India today has an eyesight problem and there are many reasons for that like working for long hours on the laptop, watching TV, mobile phones, video games etc. People are just seen rushing to the eyesight specialists for checkups and you cant even blame them today’s technology does effect people in a lot of ways.

yoga is known to cure eyesight , even Baba Ramdevji practices yoga for eyesight. so here are some yoga easy yoga asanas for you all that can also become a part of your daily routines-

1.Blink-

This is the easiest exercise and you can practice it anytime. People mostly prefer practicing it whenever they feel strain in their eyes.

Open your eyes wide and blink it 10 times ,then close your eyes for 20 seconds. Repeat this exercise four times and you will feel relaxed.

2.Sideways and Rotation

This is one asana that is very popular in yoga almost everybody adds it in their yoga routines.this is very relaxing for your eye muscles.

Move your eyes slowly from side to side , up & down and circular also make sure you don’t move your neck with your eyes . Repeat these three exercises 10 times and stretch your eye muscles.

3. Focus Shifting-

This asana is very helpful for people who feel constant strain in their eyesight. People with really weak eyesight should practice this on a regular bases.

Extend your right arm straight in front of you , then close all your fingers but keep your thumb pointing up,  and focus on it. Slowly Bring your thumb closer to your nose till you can’t clearly focus on it. Repeat this 10 times and you will surely feel relaxed.

4.Palming –

This is very good for relaxing your eyes and energizing them.

Rub your hands against each other until  they are warm, then gently put them on your eyes. Your palms should be over the eyes and  fingertips on forehead. Relax and breathe deeply! This will give warmth to your eyes and energize them.

5.Focusing the eyes on close and distant objects-

These are especially for people who have to work on laptops and computers for hours .

Focus on a distant object but make sure you can see the object clearly, focus on it for 30 seconds and then close your eyes and relax. Do the same for a closer object and relax.

For people working hours on laptops and computers it is recommended to practice this after every 2 hours.

NOTE- These exercises give best results when practiced fresh in the morning after waking up.

Eyesight is very important for humans and it should be treated good everyday. Most of the people take care of their bodies in the best way possible but forget these important organs. Practice these and relax your eyesight!
